User Reviews about Brunner & Suddarth's Textbook of Medical Surgical Nursing - North American Edition: In Two Volumes (Brunner and Suddarth's Textbook of Medical-Surgical Nursing)
There is nothing worse than pulling out 2 books in the middle of lecture and then trying to find a chapter or section with the rest of the class. It was difficult to put both books in my Jansport back pack, and it was difficult taking them out without spilling everything else! Do yourself a favor and just by the single volume to save yourself a hassle. Content wise, there are some sections that go nicely into details, and then there are sections that come short on explanations. I guess you will need a library of nursing books to get the whole picture. -- Go with the single volume book!
This textbook was required for my 2nd semester in nursing school. So far I really enjoy the layout of the book and the companion CD is also a big help. I find the required reading very interesting. -- great textbook
I can not imagine a nursing med-surg class using any other test book. This is a 2 volume set with each book over 1000 pages (don't try to carry it around). It includes everything you need to know about medical-surgical nursing, is well organized, excellent pictures and charts, and includes a very helpful NCLEX style question CD. I won't part with these 2 text books after graduation. I highly recommend this 2 volume series! -- A nursing Classic
This book is an excellent resource for a nursing student. It is full of information and is very well organized, but it is very heavy if you get it in one volume. I wish there was a way to get this on itouch like other programs. It would make clinical preparation easier and would allow me to utilize the book more as right now I won't carry it out of the house. -- Textbook Med-Surg
